Back around 1816 when the Savage II escapement was
first developed, they had a jewelry quadrant close to 6
city blocks, called Old Jewry. Many a watch maker had
their shops there to ply the trade.

Thomas Dean cut his teeth full time in 1810. This watch
was christened in 1816. This was a family watch and was
purpose made for the movement and it sports 14 jewels.

To be honest, I'll have to refresh myself on the case maker.
It is a 52MM consular case. The watch times and runs in all
positions. Although uncommon it was not the next best thing
to sliced bread.

I do enjoy the watch and I've only seen one other selling now,
through David Penny (on the high end for a 11 jewel) if you ask
me. Ray helped with this one long ago. It's one of my favorite
lever fusee's.
