At one time I did 2 pages of mostly dial photos and ephemera on some nawcc site along with other nawcc members; I remember Big Louis C., Dr. Heilman, and others also with photos placed on that site--in fact probably 50-60 had photos placed there.

Where are these photos? I want my photos that I personally took returned.

Before the last MB update and change of platform, users had an 'album' of images posted.

are they also "poof"?

"**poof**" as in gone gone gone into thin air....

I probably had about 30+ pages of posted images in the albums.

Figure the older MB software was not compatible with Venfro or whatever new mb is.

for the second time now retained, linked images are gone.
older "important" threads now do not make sense with broken image links...

was told long long ago this crap ain't permanent...

I mis read it, SORRY.

A GOOD LESSON FOR EVERYONE --the NAT ASS is UNRELIABLE!

What a waste of my time--all that great stuff I photographed and posted. At least I can still see and "play" with my stuff but a great loss to the collectors and members!

A real disgrace!

Sometimes hard copy is a better way to go.

As with hindsight on something like this..............but it just proves that inept and ignorant operatives are running the show.

A total disgrace!

Web sites are tenuous at best. Any personal digital data should be backed up multiple ways and web site care and maintenance is a nasty business if one is in the trenches. Transferring intact to a new site is extremely difficult if not next to impossible unless tons of money is involved.

Hmmm. Gee, our Greg Davis has transferred our entire MB and web site at least twice.

I guess it is all in the expertise--the nat ass severely lacking same!

STILL, IT IS INEXCUSABLE TO LOSE EDUCATIONAL MATERIAL and since the assoc is supposed to represent education and study.

WHAT A JOKE!

I agree with the backup idea.

Don't expect others to look after your stuff.

Half the time they can't even look after their own.

Here it is, just stated by Music guy on the assoc. forum.

" Last if people were so afraid of loosing the educational
side of the NAWCC than why are MARTS such integral parts of this organization?

Lets do what we do best, and ask and answer questions on this site with great
photographs and descriptions and key words so as to create the quintessential
place to go when researching different types of watches and clocks. This will serve people for many generations to come."

I'm not very familiar with "Albums" that was on the older Message Board version.

However, I do see "Media", which is a primary menu tab at the top of the Message Board and it has something like 140 pages of images. I suspect nothing was lost.

"Media" has nothing to do with that watch site of members' watches, etc.

THE NAWCC claims to be for research and study and the destroy all of the members' work that participated in this exercise.

Who ever did this dastardly act should be fired and strung up by his small toes!

This is OUTRAGEOUS.
